Soft tail bag on an RT?

Bornfired

New member
Hey all, i'm looking for some advice.

I'm moving from a GS to an RT soon and i'm trying to decide on tail luggage. I always ran a Helen 2 Wheels duffle on the GS, which sat nicely on the tail and across the panniers. It held a ton of stuff, was super stable and easy on/off.

It seems RT owners prefer the hard top case, but it's not really for me. Looking for feedback from any of you who are running soft tail luggage.

Thanks!

I have both a medium and large Wolfman roll top bag. Both work wonderfully with a pair of Rox straps. Tough as nails and absolutely dry.

If 30 liters is big enough we really like the BMW Soft Bag 3.
Very quick on and off. It slips over the rack and held in place with two Fast Tech clips.

If you want something larger BMW has a 50 liter bag. It has a plastic tray in the bottom to keep the end from sagging down.
