Intermittent starting problem '04 R1150R

After 1.5 years of never missing a beat to start, my 1150 has started to display an intermittent starting problem. The battery voltage checks out via multi-meter. It starts to crank then stops. Nothing. When I retry, it cranks for longer than normal and eventually comes to life. My dealer service dept next appointment is 2 weeks out. Mine is a daily rider with 61k miles. Hate to be back in a car for commuting & running around. Any ideas as to the cause(s)?

How old is the battery. May be worth pulling unit and taking to auto parts store or Batteries + to have them do a load test. A multimeter will show volts, but cranking amps is the key.

Not sure of the battery's age. Have only owned the bike 1.5 years.
