Weatherproof Point and Shoot Camera Recommendations

The little Olympus Point and Shoot Camera I have is 10 years+ old and it is very hard to use while riding, the buttons are so small and so close together it is hard to operate with gloves on. When it is cold - below 40F the battery must die as it won't work.

I've been looking at weatherproof point and shoot cameras and I think I've settled on the Nikon COOLPIX W300; It has good reviews, looks easy to operate with gloves on, I can hang it around my neck. The only negative so far to me is that it uses Micro USB while everything else is migrating to USB "C" now. I'm trying to stay right around $500.

I'd have it already but I had to spend more than the cost of the camera on the damn heated grips on the BMW which depleted my "discretionary funds" budget for the month.

Open to any comments/inputs from camera owners/users.

I have had Olympus,Canon Coolpix, Panasonic LUMIX, and currently a Fuji XP- WiFi

I have had great service out of all and dropped a few . All on me. Sometimes on the bicycles and a few Moto fight with gravity, no harm... other times I find body, door, SD card if I’m lucky
I do it often enough( two cameras in five years) to not get top model but one that works with gloves and won’t make me angry when it happens again. H carries a nicer LUMIX, I don’t like the lens automated cover and extending lens as I want simple point and shoot .

The current Fuji is a tad larger than the prior brands, but having WiFi made me ok with it. I have had a few that the lens is close to shutter button and I cut off shots, or hard to use with Winter gloves. I took gloves to Walmart, BestBuy and others to try button use

Thanks, I think I'll order a Fuji XP-140, I've been looking at Olympus and Nikon but don't need the $$.

My old Olympia is still doing fine after plenty of abuse.

Ken Rockwell's photo website rates all kinds of cameras. He likes this one (https://www.kenrockwell.com/olympus/tg-4.htm) for a good weatherproof camera. The Olympus TG-6 also looks good. Under $500 too.
