Last week, the front headlamp burned out on my GSA. When I went to install a new bulb the plastic socket crumbled. I purchased a: https://www.repairconnector.com/products/H7-2-Pin-Headlight-Beam-Repair-Connector-Pigtail.html :a new H7 2 pin headlight pigtail with the hopes of removing the terminal connectors and plugging the original connectors in the new plastic socket. How do I carefully release these terminals?

If all else fails, I'll just solder the new pigtail in place. However, I'm sure I read where this has been done.

Thanks in advance,

Not sure how my local dealer did this but when mine crumbled, they took the new connector, pulled out he wires and inserted the OEM connectors (that were exposed once the originals crumbled). No need to cut OEM harness, took about 25-30 minutes for two bulbs.

You can remove the terminals with a pin extractor. They are usually held in place by a small tab.
I don't know exactly which extractor tool you would need but there's a large assortment of them on amazon.

I was able to locate the release on these terminals. There's a small bump on the bottom of the plastic socket, one for each terminal. I gently pried the terminal off the bump with a safety pin and it pushed right out. The small opening in the terminal captures the bump and secures it in the plastic socket. The terminals on the GSA snapped right into place on the new plastic socket!
