cruise control issues

2009 Rt cruise control is intermittent, any info will be helpful, troubleshooting R&R pictures etc. thanks Woody

A few years ago while on a trip, my friend who was leading, mentioned that he would be seeing his dealer on our return as his cruise control on his 2010 RT was frequently cutting out. I told him that there was an easy and immediate fix; keep his foot further away from the rear brake pedal. Problem solved. :thumb

Your issue may be different but you might wish to consider this.

While following a friend, his brake light would come on and I'd see that foot resting on the lever. Told him via the helmet intercom. Hopefully I told him enough times his habit of where to rest the foot also changed. Myself, I've been pondering putting a small light near the dash that lights when the brakes are applied. Monitor my own foot and alert me to any issues.

Recall

A number of years ago there was a recall on the handlebar switchgear. I was having trouble with the cruise acting up...work, not work, work, turn off...and so on... the dealer replaced it once and about a year later it happened again...then I got the recall notice and both sides were replaced and so far so good.

2011 R12RT

Nope, the recall - replacement was performed in May 2015. I originally had the left one replaced under warranty in 2013.
This was a multifunction switch recall and/or Technical Service Bulletin 61 005 14.

Hmmm...not sure I remember that recall. But you indicate it was a Service Bulletin issue. That might be different than a national recall by NHTSA.
