    1985 K100RS rad/belly pan suitable screen replacement.

Have any of you guys replaced the screen on your belly pan or radiator shroud? If so, what did you use? Below is a pic of what I can get from Home Depot. A slightly different pattern but very similar in size. It comes in a large sheet but is only around $12. Cheap but a complete waste otherwise as I would have no other use for it. It does seem to bend easily so I would be able to curl it around the inside of the belly pan and then glue it.

And the original rad screen as a comparison.

That does look pretty close, although the welds at the joints look a little more fragile.

The OEM screen is still available new for the K75 models (and inexpensive)- not sure about the K100 models. However, if your current screen is still intact, you can pull it out, wire brush it, and repaint, which is what I did with my K75.

I find sandblasting works the best for jobs like that. It will look like new with some paint.
