Asheville is just off the parkway and makes a nice stop; should you need a BMW shop, pull into Eurosport Asheville.
The Coast has it's charm but the Appalachian has RIDING!

    Have Fun!
This is great advice, I would suggest this highly. Once you get toward Roanoke Va, head West of I81 and travel through the small towns and ride those awesome mountain roads of Va and WV. You'll never find better riding on the East Coast. Take the back roads (220 and others) paralleling I81 through Cumberland Md area and then snake through Claysburg, State College and Williamsport Pa. Take 15 North through Corning Ny and start heading East either on 88 or side roads till Albany Ny. and then snake through to the Ma border and follow the country/hill roads in WMa until you get near Mid state (Worchester). From there, you can head North to see the rest of New England. Leave 6 days or so for travel, it'll be worth it.

I was thinking of heading up to Nova Scotia this summer from PA. Looks like a fun ride.

Atlantic Canada is beautiful, Cape Bretton is a jewel. If you have half a day the Miners Museum in Glace Bay Nova Scotia is a very interest trip through history. Not sure when the border will be open again, Canada is having a slower roll out of vaccine than the US.

If you can swing more time, one of our members Skibum69 has a motorcycle B&B in New Melbourne Newfoundland great people and a great place in the world.

Unless things open up, be prepared to quarantine when you get to Canada. Their COVID rules are quite strict.

Thank you for the reply. As time progresses, and the trip details become more specific, my end point will be Maine, (South Freeport). Would like nothing better, than to continue on to Economy, NS, but that adds 1,000 additional RT miles, where my cousin lives.

    Thank you for the tips.

It looks like I'll be in Chester, NS all summer. Drop me a line if you're headed that way.
