2013 K1600GT help with changing alarm system batteries

Greetings and thanks for reading this.
If anyone has experience in how to access the black box under the cargo carrier/trunk carrier that contains the alarm system batteries, please chime in.
I made the mistake of removing the 12V battery on my '13 K1600 when the alarm system was on. I later found out about the batteries way in the back inside
the black box are designed to maintain the alarm in case the battery is disconnected.

I have gotten as far as removing the four screws on the side grab-bar assembly, but I'm baffled past that point in terms of getting the rear cargo assembly off so I can access the alarm box.

If you have done this chore, please share any wisdom you might have about getting back there and changing out the batteries.

Thanks,

Van
