Removing the neg. battery wire 2020RT

I want to install a pigtail for a connection to my Canbus charger. Will removing only the negative battery wire to do this affect any other electronics? I have done this on my 2014 RT, but the 2020 has the keyless system.

Disconnecting either lead from the battery "may" cause the date on the instrument cluster to drop, and it "probably" will log a fault as "Not present now" when scanning the controllers via a GS-911 or similar, showing that the power has been disconnected.
It's not a big concern, and a common procedure necessary to add other leads to the electrical system other than thru the DIN socket.
