RT Seat warmer help!

A few years ago I replaced the stock seat on my 2016 R 1200 RT with a Russel Day long saddle and have never looked back! Last fall the heating element failed in the seat and my understanding is Russel uses the stock BMW heating element! Looking at Max BMW parts listings, you have to buy the complete BMW seat for about 1200 bucks! All I need is the heating element! Russel has one on backorder that is not canbus and only has an on/off setting on the seat, not what I want! Anyone know of a canbus suitable heating element that would be a direct replacement?:ca

In the dark bowls of any dealership I have ever been in, there is a collection of misfit bits whose only real equity is keeping dust from collecting on the shelving surfaces upon which they are amassed... a few phone calls may find a lightly used seat with a directly compatible element, at a very reasonable price :)
