Getting the shot

Why can’t the pharmaceutical companies create drugs that have positive side affects. Imagine a COVID vaccine that caused people to dislike junk food and feel compelled to exercise regularly. Throw in a bit of fountain of youth side affects and there would be very few antivaxers.

I've often wondered how the antivaxers would react to a vaccine that prevents cancer.

Does Viagra count? :lol

Further down in that article, or in a link in that article, was the following headline:

"More than 16,000 individuals reported getting pregnant after their vaccination"

One more piece of "news" that supports the anti-vaxers.:deal

If I knew that was a possible side effect, I never would have encouraged my wife to get the shots! :uhoh

:dance:dance:dance

Sorry to freak you guys out, but I read it on the internet, so it must be true. People are saying.....

:laugh Actually, the thing I liked about that article was that it has imbedded links to the studies that it references, including the Lancet. I'll keep an eye out for studies on vaccine-related pregnancies though- that could be a problem. :eek:rolleyes

We may very well experience a baby boom in the coming year. Young couples of baby making age, unemployed, no money to go out for entertainment and recreation and no place to go if they did have money, birth control falls off the list of affordable items, long winter nights and Bob's your uncle.... 1+ 1 = 3.

So what will this generation of kids be called?

Hopefully not Covid Kids. I was thinking about this when the pandemic was declared a year ago and things started shutting down. Not unlike an area wide power outage and nine months later.... I've had two great nieces born since February.

Actually, there hasn't been a baby boom - more like a baby bust:

I read about this in college back in the 80’s at Southern Illinois University (almost word for word in that first link) . As I recall the predictions then were so dire that we were all supposed to be currently extinct.
