Are Front Brake Calipers Interchangeable Between RT & GS??

Greetings fellow Oilheads,

I have a '95 Oilhead GS (non-ABS if that matters) with sticky brake calipers. I was considering ordering rebuild kits from Ted Porter until I ran across what seems like a good deal on FleaBay. A complete set of front calipers from a '99 RT for only $32!

My question is will these bolt onto my GS? I checked Beemer Boneyard's site for compatibility but came up with nothing. At any rate, if they don't fit they would make a good set of spares for my '00 RT. :dunno

Thanks in advance for your advice,

Thanks guys! I've decided to pass on those. After further inspection of the photos, the hardware on those calipers were in really bad condition... Looks like I'll be ordering the rebuild kits from Ted Porter.

Good call! I might buy used brake parts, but I surely would not put them to use without a rebuild. IMO, you would need rebuild kits anyway, so you may as well try rebuild what you have.
