    K1600B vs S1000XR

I know that they are 2 different animals, but I am considering trading my S1000XR in for a new K1600B. Has anyone on here made that swap? Pros and Cons? TIA.

Well CP, Two different animals is stating the obvious!

I hope you'll search your New Year's resolution file, and figure out which direction ya wanna go.
The Bagger is a hidden Switchblade in your boot; the XR is a fancy Swiss Army tool too big for your jeans pocket...

You're sittin at a fork in the road. Gonna take you down two different Boulevards that's for damn sure.

Have a Happy New Year! There's worse problems to have these days than picking a new m/c...

Best analogy I have ever heard for these 2 machines!

Definitely a good fork in the road to be in..

    XR vs Bagger

XR= Hair on fire, let's go hunting down a Multistrada. A Balls out sportbike with sensible ergos
Bagger= Looks cool and a sweet engine for multiple miles of cruising

IMHO: Try a GT, otherwise you will miss the sport side of the equation. A super smooth speedwagon without the bulk of the bagger

Finally, don't listen to me: buy the one you like after having ridden them both

My bike evolution over the last 8 years. I took a 25 year hiatus from riding and started back on a new 2013 HD Road King. Then to a 2016 HD Ultra Limited. Kept that for just 4000mi, and sold it after riding a K1600GT. I bought a 2013 K1600GT. While owning that bike I also got a 2006 K1200S, then traded that on a 2016 S1000R. I recently traded the K1600GT on a 2020 R1250GSA. After all that, I can't imagine I'd be happy for long on a 1600B.

Another riding bud traded his K1200S on a 1600B, and got rid of it in just a few months for a 1250GS. His gripe was that it wouldn't lean far enough. He had also owned a 1600GT in the past.

    All that is FWIW.

What! I will tell you with certainty the B will lean well beyond the abilities of mortal men. True the GS is higher in clearance and the GT is designed to lean, but my B is no slouch.

All of my bikes will lean until they fall over.

Having never ridden one, I can only relate other's experiences, and go on that.
