In this Best of Forum, it turns out that at the MOA we have some members that really ride bicycles. Some of the members along with doing repairs and maintenance, assemble bikes from selected parts exactly to suit them. There are also tips on places to ride and ride reports posted throughout the thread that may be in your travel area.
With so many people on bicycles these days, this will be a good read.
