Hi, Im David from North St. Paul MN.
Im 36yrs old and have been riding for 7years now. Im glad I waited until I was older to start because I probably would have killed myself if I started young. I commute daily until it gets icy and try to ride every weekend. Im married and have two daughters. My youngest daughter is interested in riding but we havent gotten her out yet.
My daily steed is a 2016 Ducati Multistrada Pikes Peak 1200s. I also have a 2013 BMW F800GS that is used for offroad and a 1972 BMW R75/5 that is used to take up space in the garage.

I hope to meet some local members soon!

Welcome. You have an interesting stable of motorcycles. A little of something for everyone there.

Wilkommen Dave!
Nice stable of bikes; how would you even keep your derriere on that shiny /5 seat??? Oh, I get it; it makes shifting your weight in corners easier... :bliss

There's the Airheads contingent on this MOA website: > ="https://forums.bmwmoa.org/forumdi...orums.bmwmoa.org/forumdisplay.php?13-Airheads<

There's also another sub-club of the MOA, #214 in the chartered club list that operates out of San Diego. https://www.airheads.org/ You can send a donation to them separately; they have their own modest, monthly magazine. They also have a traveling roadshow that sets up at the National Rally (when the rally happens) that establishes a compound with Airhead tools for repairs and brings couches & chairs for the audience!

My question to y'all up north is, "Is the Black Forest Inn in S.Minneapolis still in existence? The folks there were just as friendly & eclectic as the gang on CHEERS, and the art work with the bullet holes was most 'memorable!'

Ciao!

Black Forest Inn is still there. Although I haven't been there in quite some time I doubt it has changed much.

I actually have only put on about 60 miles since purchasing it 3yrs ago. It was a fresh rebuild "flip" that had very early bing carbs on it. The right carb ended up being internally cracked causing fuel to dump into the right cylinder.
I replaced the carbs with some rebuilt by a guy in Georgia that owns a bmw shop and is a carb genius.
After replacing them im now having issues on the left cylinder with intermittent spark. Need to buy new coils to make her reliable.
Also need a new seat and a different paint job. I bought it with cone filters on the carbs and an ugly airbox delete. Not to mention the brilliant orange paint job.
I also installed the mufflers on the incorrect sides to get that angled exit which i like.

Welcome David-

I live in the northwest metro area near Albertville. Anytime traveling up I-94 in the spring next year give me a shout out. We can meet at Moon Motorsports in Monticello for coffee and donuts. Been a member for 25 years.

Regards,
Steven
