I'd like to get some advice on how to remove the inner fairing from a 1982 r100rt

Do you mean the two storage boxes?
They are held in place by a few screws. You have to take the gas tank off to get to them. They are fairly easy to see. St.

I won't say for certain the gas tank HAS to come off to take the bins off but, it makes the job a whole lot easier and you don't have to worry about nicking the tank with something. Removing the gas tank is a simple task. St.
