I always enjoyed his work. He tackled so many roles- so well.

Anyone that can play a Russian sub commander with a Scottish accent and you never give it a thought, shines a light on their talent.

I miss the work of these "older" actors. Gene Hackman is another great that comes to mind.

RIP 007.

Yes, I've watched that movie several times and his portrayal of a Russian sub commander quite believable. RIP indeed.

At times, I think he had more fun playing off his stereotype from a very long career. Comedy, drama or action movie, he rarely gave a sub-par performance. A wonderful legacy of enjoyable films.

From the father of Long Way Round's Charlie Boorman comes an unusual movie with Sean Connery. I recall seeing this when it came out. I prefer to think of him as Mr. Bond.

He actually played an ethnic Lithuanian. Supposedly nobody ever got a ship command in the Soviet Navy after that if they were from the Baltics.

Everybody remembers Connery's roles as 007 - how about him and WWII motorcycle dispatch rider Honor Blackman - but I always thought that the best movie most have not seen is the Wind and the Lion. Kidnaping, Arab armies, German army, US Marine Corp, President of the United States. Great fun.

Mulai Ahmed Raisuli (the magnificent) gives the German Commanding Officer something he did not receive at the Officer's Academy - a mensur.

Great performances by Brian Keith, John Huston, and oh my god - Candace Bergan. What movie wouldn't be great that includes the United States Marine Corp.

I still enjoy his performance in Rudyard Kiplings screen adaption of, "The Man who would be King." What an actor. Sir Sean Connery will be missed!
