1994 r1100rs- Starting problem after maintenance

The bike has been sitting in my garage for over a year, it wouldn't start.
I replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, hoses inside tank and gasket as they were cracking.
Changed motor oil, filter and a new battery.

After putting the fuel tank back in place only the right cylinder is firing.
Any help appreciated. Thank you

Welcome to the forum!
There is a lot of Oilhead knowledge here on the forum.
In the meantime, I will add a bit to your title which will help with your problem.
Gary

Start with a basic check for spark, making sure the sparkplug you use for that is firmly grounded by strapping it to the bike. If you have spark on the left, then check for fuel by pulling the left injector, pointing it into a container (I use a cut-down milk jug) and crank the bike to see if the injector is spraying with a nice cone-shaped pattern. If the injector isn’t working correctly then cleaning it would be the next step, and that’s usually done with an ultrasonic cleaner tank. If the bike has sat for a year with unstabilized fuel in the system you may have varnish in the injectors.

Best,
DeVern

Thank you so much for your help, it was the injector.
I will go ahead and replace both, they've never been replaced in 26 years.

:thumb. Glad you’ve pinned down the problem. I haven’t priced injectors lately but usually a good cleaning gets them working again. You may find an inexpensive Harbor Freight ultrasonic cleaner with a bath of Dawn dish soap and water would be less expense and still get the job done.

Best,
DeVern

After replacing the fuel injectors and using the bike for about a week without a problem, it refuses to start.
I no longer hear the fuel pump when turning the ignition key.
I suspected the Hall sensor, being that the wires were bare without insulation so I replaced the HES and still nothing.
When I turn the ignition key I don't hear the fuel pump at all.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Turning the key "on" with kill switch "on" and the sidestand "up" should cause the pump to run for a few seconds. Then once the engine is cranking the pulses from the HES every revolution keep the Motronic telling the pump to stay on.

So, key on, kill switch on, sidestand up, and the pump fils to come on is an issue with either the Motronic or the fuel pump.

Check the plug on the right side by the frame where the lead from the fuel tank plugs in to the harness.

Everything that Paul said, plus check the fuse box, fuel pump relay. There should be four of the same relay, swap the fuel pump relay with the horn relay.
