750GS Touratech Lowering Springs Questions

I plan to install the Touratech progressive spring set (front and rear) on my 2020 750GS with ESA. Two questions if I may:

1. Has anyone else done this, and if so, how would you rate the improvement in the ride?

2. Getting the bike 30mm lower would be great, and so another option is the Touratech spring set that lowers the bike 30mm.

a. Has anyone else done this, and if so, did you feel that the reduced clearance would be an issue on dirt?

b. Does the SW-Motech center stand with bikes that have been lowered work with the Touratech lowered springs set?

1. Here is a link to the SW-Motech center stand:

Many thanks for your input.

I can’t offer first-hand experience. But I have investigated the 30mm lowering springs for my F700GS.

One thing to realize about the lowering springs is that the bike is only lowered when there is a load placed on it, i.e. the rider. Once the rider dismounts, the springs extend back to full extension and standard height. So you are able to use your oem standard sidestand and centerstand, without switching them out. :thumb

Thanks for that info, Vark. I was dreading the aggravation/cost of cutting down both the side stand and center stand.

Yes but, note that to get the side stand down you must first dismount to allow the springs to extend. So practice getting off and then deploying the side stand.

I’m not familiar with this system. I took 2” out of the height of the F800GS with a Touratech kit.
Shortening the stand(s) is not a big deal.

Lean bike slightly to right and shift weight to right foot which is firmly planted on ground. With weight removed, suspension extends to normal standard height. Deploy sidestand with left foot, lean bike left and dismount.:dunno
