1985 K100RS steering head bearing/race servicing.

As part of my upcoming winter maintenance I will be servicing the steering head bearings. As this work is well within my abilities, I am potentially looking at purchasing a bearing/race removal/installation tool. Northwoods Airheads has a couple of tools and Cycle Works has a set too. Both of these are for airheads which, I have heard, use the same bearings/races. Cycle Works is for 1970-1995 airheads. Can anyone confirm that these tools will work? I can't seem to locate specific tools like this in Canada and I really have no interest in running around in an attempt to find all the bits and pieces necessary to make up these tools. Thanks, guys.

The steering head bearings, Part # 31 4 27 696 891, listed for a K100 are also listed for R75, R80, R90, R100 and R65 among many other listings. Based on this I believe that the extractor tools listed for Airheads should work fine on your K100 since the bearings are the same.
