2013 GS Fuel Guage

I've got a 2013 R1200GS and the fuel guage only shows a full tank (despite having used half a tank) and the remaining miles left in tank calculation shown in the display is hovering around the same constant number as well. Any known issues? Hopefully not a fuel strip problem like I had in my '09.
Thanks

On my 2013 F700GS, the fuel gauge shows full until 1/2 tank level is reached. This is by design. Maybe your 2013 GS is similarly designed?

Edit: I should clarify that the dash gauge on the F700GS never shows “full”. It actually displays a level indicating more than half a tank is remaining, until half tank is reached and the “more than” arrow disappears. So technically speaking it never displays “full”. You only know you have a full tank if you just topped it off - - the gauge never tells you that.

In addition there is no fuel strip. It is a float. The float can only measure the bottom of the tank behind the motor. The tank extends rearward at an angle under the seat. This is why the gauge behaves the way it does.
