Finally got everything back together after a full spline lube, went for a short ride to warm things up and op check. Time to change the fluids. No issues until I came to the oil filter.. My BMW filter socket did not fit.. Nor did any of the other three I have. BLEEP.. Used a double fold of some denim to finally get the filter loose. Blue filter, (dimples instead of flats) turns out it was an AC Delco filter?? Last service was at a BMW dealer as well. The Mahle filter I replaced it with uses my standard oil filter socket, the one I have used on many BMW motorcycles.

What dealership?

Did you look up the fitment through a cross-reference? What was the AC Delco p/n?

From the receipts that I got with the bike, BMW of Fresno did the last service about 6 years ago. Only 700+ miles ago.. Hence my decision to do a full service. The AC Delco filter was a PF53.

As long as the cross was good- no worries.

The center threads were correct, and the rubber gasket diameter fit the flange so it works, BUT.. No joy without a different oil filter socket. I did not find a cross reference that did say it would fit a K75 however. At about $5.50 each they are much cheaper. I'll stick with one that fits my oil filter socket.
