'87 K75S Bike won't turn off

A few blocks from home today my 1987 K75s missed fired once. A few blocks later I stopped for gas. Bike wouldn't shut off. Kill switch worked. Lights stayed on until I disconnected the battery.

Should I assume I need a new ignition switch?

Last summer I took it apart and cleaned it because the bike died after gassing up. Has worked fine up until yesterday.
