Bought a used Russell Saddle for my K1600GTL. As soon as I got it out of the box, I took off the old seat and put the Russell on my bike; CLICK!! Then realized that I hadn't taken the factory seat lock out of the old seat...Well DUUUUUUHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Need to know how to remove the lock from the factory seat, Install it in the Russell and remove it when I need to

Any help is VERY appreciated.

If it makes you feel any better I was out last week visiting a friend and when my bike wouldn't start I tried to bump start no luck. I got a ride home with the bike and after putting up posts asking for help etc it tuned out I'd hit the kill switch. Idiot!:ha

My new Sargent seat came with a "place holder" to allow me to install the new seat and test it before changing the lock set over. To release it I only had to insert into the lock opening and release it. The RDL didn't have something similar?
