2012s fuel pump replacements?

I've been looking at a few used 2012 K1600s. I've noticed a few of the listings say the bikes have recently had the fuel pumps replaced. Is there an issue with the fuel pumps in these bikes or something? Just starting to show up because of the age? These are low mileage 2012s. It's possible they just sat a long time without being ridden. I'd be surprised if that would kill a fuel pump though.
