Hi all,
2012 K1600 GTL here. I did a 360 mile ride one day last week and learned that the comfort of the stock seat leaves a bit to be desired. I don’t want to go for an after-market seat like a Russell, partly because of cost but mainly because I’m quite short and don’t want the seat any higher than it is now. So I’m considering buying some Purple seat cushion (it has great reviews in many different applications) then cut out a section of the stock foam and replace it with the Purple.
I’m reasonably handy and the only bit that concerns me is stapling the stock cover back in place. Has anyone ever done this or something like it? Any pros/cons? What type of stapler did you use to re-attach the seat cover?
Thanks in advance for any help and advice offered.
