long time MOA member, new to forums

RANDY16276

New member
Hello,

My name is Randy Hazan. I am a long time member of MOA, but being an old guy am new to this type of communication. I have a 1976 R75/6 that I have had since 1980. I am about to dig into it far deeper than I have before and was hoping there is a place I can get some guidance and answers to what those of you who have more wrenching expertise might be idiotic questions.
I also have an older oil head.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction,

Randy

1976 R75/6 Centrifugal advance unit fiber washers

Hello, and thank you for the welcome.
I have begun what I hope will become a semi restoration project on my 1976 R75/6. I thought a good tune up before taking things apart would be a good place to start. I removed the advance unit as it was grungy. when I removed the weights there appeared to be the remnants of fiber washers. They pretty much disintegrated upon disassembly. I have not been able to find any information on these washers. also there are some scratches on the cam portion of the unit. I am looking for some guidance.

thank you,

Randy
