Thoughts on lithium eg Shorai battery in a 1998 R110RT ?

Does any one have experience, good or bad, with litium batteries eg a Shoari lithium, in a 1998 vintage R110RT?
We live in Texas so summer is 40 C / 100F all summer and the battery location to me doesnt seem likely to get much cool air flow.
Plus I see Shoari suggests you use their foam around the battery to insure it does move around.

So net, net. Will the lithium battery get to hot in an R100RT ?

My experience has been exceeding good with a Shorai mounted in an R1100S and with one mounted right beside a cylinder on a Ducati. YMMV

I have lithiums (Battery Tender first gen and second, Antigravity, etc) in all of my rider (registered and insured for the road) bikes. I ride year round in NY and the surrounding states. I have never experienced an issue with any lithium battery.

Perfect ! It's 100 F/40 C out today , so far no issues either. Thanks for the feedback.

I just installed an Antigravity battery that has the built-in jump start in my R850r. So far, so good. I have an eight year old Shorai on my DRZ e model. I've been very happy with the battery AND have not treated it like a Lithium battery is supposed to be treated..no issues. It lives in a storage unit so it's never on a charger and I ride all year long. Have even run heated gloves and jacket liner on the DRZ...no issues! I hope the Antigravity does as well. They were running them on sale is the only reason I went with that brand.
