Bug Magnet or just me?

My Aussie buddy and I rode across Montana headed for AKBeemer's in June last year.
There were millions of grasshoppers on US 12, whoever was riding lead parted the waves so to speak but both of our feet and lower legs were completely covered in Hopper Guts by the time we got to Helena. AKBeemer took great pleasure in pressure washing us before we entered his garage.

I didn't get the hoppers out of all the nooks and crannies on the bike until mid-winter disassembly and cleaning.

I've killed a couple small birds with my helmet.
When Debbie used to ride on the back she would give me hell if I ducked.
She told me I should protect her and take it like a man :)

A June bug to the forehead at about 45mph back in the late '60s convinced me that maybe helmets were a good idea after all.....

One summer in Montana I rode over a hill and there was what looked like thick, dark smoke in the air. It wasn't. It was bugs! When I stopped for the night the front on my Harley was covered with a thick green/brown goo. A long with the top of my helmet. I couldn't see the fair color through the layer of bugs. I washed thd bike that night and the next day found another few thick swarms. I gave up and washed when I got home!
