1987 K75C clutch throughout bearing/control piston

My k75 sounds like the bottom end is falling out. That's supposed to be a symptom sound of a faulty clutch (throughout) bearing. The new style is a bearing and piston combined.

Does anyone know if the clutch rod needs be replaced at the same time or if I can just remove the bushing on the clutch rod and use the rod with a new piston?

I'm not sure if the rod and bushing are one part or 2 separate parts??

thanks for your help
Bricker2:)
