Dunlop Sportmax Q3+ tires on an R1200RT?

I bought a 2006 R1200RT from a friend of mine last fall (after my R1100RT was destroyed by the jerk who hit me at the stop light).

My friend is a track racer, and rides an S1000 when he races. He put Dunlop Sportmax Q3+ tires on the R1200RT. I must say, they handle great, especially when I'm pushing it and leaning way over into the turns. Nimble. Responsive. Seem to handle the rain just fine, as well as various temperatures (although I haven't experienced truly hot temps yet).

What do people think about putting the street version of a track tire, intended for sport bikes, on an R1200RT? Pros? Cons? Trying to decide what to replace this with when they wear out. Here's a review: https://www.cycleworld.com/dunlop-sportmax-q3+-sportbike-tire-review/

If they meet the weight capacity and have a size to fit, run what ever you want. I certainly don't have an Issue.

Don't expect longevity and watch tread wear very carefully lest you see cord appearing while 50 or 100 miles from home.
