Puig Touring Windshield for RT

I have a 2016 RT, looking for a replacement windshield.

Here is Canada, it’s fairly pricey to get a Werks or AeroFlow because of the shipping...they are not readily available here.

I can get a Puig at local dealers, they look nice, especially in the light tint, and I had a Puig for a Triumph Tiger I had, it worked great.

Was wondering if anyone on the forum has the Puig Touring Screen...can’t seem to find any reviews for the RT, obviously not the most popular option.

I find it a bit narrow, if it were 2-3” wider it would really cut down the wind noise.

It’s the hour glass shape of the windshield, where the windshield narrows, causing a fair amount of turbulence and that dirty air hits the shoulders of my jacket causing the noise both for the rider and pillion.

If it didn’t have that shape, I think it would be significantly quieter.

Gotcha. Mine is a 2017 with the stock screen. Wonder if I am just used to mine. [emoji848]

I love windshield threads. My experience over 45 years is that except for one Vetter Windjammer fairing it always took me two or three (or more) tries before I finally found a windshield that I liked.

What size did you get and how tall are you?

I got the 26" tinted Werks Quiet Ride. I am 5' 11" tall with a 32" inseam and I ride with my seat in the high position.

I don't have to raise the QR windscreen as high as I did with the stock one and I am comfortably looking over it while riding.

I run with a Puig on my 2016 RT and for me and my riding it's a significant improvement over the OEM. Because it's a little higher than the OEM I ride with it almost all the way down, and in the hot weather can easily ride with my visor open to get some air flow. It's MUCH quieter and I get no wierd push from behind or other turbulance issues. In heavy rain the OEM screen would create a downdraft over the front of my visor which kept it reasonably clear of water. The Puig does not do that, and is not as good in the rain as the OEM. Overall, I am very pleased with my Puig touring screen.

I hope this helps, and let me know if you need more info.

Thanks Pete, that’s helpful.

I have read a lot on the Werks and AeroFlow...just getting them to Canada, duties and taxes with the US exchange makes them close to $600. I can get a Puig here in Canada for a third the price.

Denali D4 2.0 lights with full spot lenses, mounted on Clearwater B179 brackets. I've also fitted Cyclops LED Low and High Beam headlight kit.
