Happy to be part of the BMW community once again. I rode a K1200RS for a number of years in the early 2000's but gave it up when my hips went bad. The hips are new and working well so I've picked up a bit of a project in a 1983 R65 that is running but needs some TLC. I've just now started prowling the forum as it relates to my technical questions along the lines of getting this bike up to it's true nature.

It's good to be back in the family and look forward to meeting some of you here and on the road.

Welcome, Fred, from the coast of Kansas. Congrats on the new hips. Ain't the modern world wonderful?

Welcome back! I have a K1200RS I bought new and it's a keeper for me, but I've always wanted to add an R65 to the garage. Totally underappreciated bike, IMHO. Good luck with your TLC project!
