What are your thoughts on a 2007 K 1200LT

Hello All,
I’m new to this forum and new to the BMW motorcycle brand. I’m going to look at a 2007 K 1200LT. I’m interested in what this forum thinks of this motorcycle, it’s reliability, quirks, etc. This bike has a little over 10,000 miles and the current owner claims that it is in great shape. What should I be on the lookout for when I go and inspect this bike for purchase? What would be some good questions to ask of it’s current owner. Any help you could give would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Welcome! I'm pretty new here too, but I found a wealth of information on youtube. I have an 01 K1200LT and I found videos on all sorts of maintenance, repair, etc. Dealers charge alot for service, but if you take your time you can do most of it yourself. Love my bike, and you will love yours too!

Welcome to the forum! For a bike with so little mileage, likely very little maintenance has been completed other than a couple of oil changes. You might ask about that. You could also ask why it hasn't been ridden so much. How has it been stored.

The bike is very heavy...one of my shoulders can attest to the strength it takes in keeping it from falling over!

What would be some good questions to ask of it’s current owner. .

Ask if the ABS and Servo brakes are working.
Ask if he did a full brake bleed every other year.

Welcome to the forum.
