Pairing 2015 GTL-E and Schuberth M1

I have a Shuberth C3 with the BMW Communications System that pairs just fine - everything works as expected. For riding in hot weather, I bought a Schuberth M1 open face helmet with the Schuberth by Cardo communication system. The M1 pairs to the bike, but the thumb wheel will not control the volume. Dealer says this is normal for this comm system. Anyone know different or have a trick to get the Shuberth by Cardo system to work as the BMW Comm system? Can I make my M1 have all the features of my C3?

Sorry if this is a duplicate thread. All my searches came back with info on the C3 and nothing on the M1.

No it will not work with thumb wheel. Only the BMW communicator will work with the wonder wheel.
