75th anniversary edition

Just curious. Does anybody have any thoughts on the 75th anniversary edition? R1100R. Looks great actually with with pin stripes and black. Will these have any collectibility in the future?

I cannot offer a credible opinion on future collectability of the R1100R anniversary edition - beyond the thought that older bikes in decent condition will always have an appeal to some riders.

I do agree that the basic black Anniversary bike with the spoked wheels is the best looking of the series. My admittedly narrow personal opinion is that the R1100R was a bit of an ugly duckling - something about the plastic trim at the seat/gas tank junction and the inelegant oil coolers gave me the impression that the design team did their work on a Friday afternoon after lunching at a biergarten. They made up for it though with the R1150R.

Now...the R1100RT - I expect that bike to quadruple in value any day now, especially the Opal Blue model that sits in my garage.
