1985 K100RS throttle body questions.

I've got my throttle body out for cleaning as I'm replacing the rubber manifolds/boots either side of it. I noticed a number 10 on each throttle plate. What does that number represent? Also, has anyone ever had reason to remove the throttle plates? It wasn't necessary for cleaning the throats but just curious as they are screwed to the shaft that runs through the throttle bodies.

Do not know what the "10" on the throttle plate is for.

I DO know that you should not remove the throttle plates or mess with the linkage between the individual throttle bodies. The throttle bodies were set up at the factory and are extremely difficult to get working properly if messed with.

The ONLY adjustments to the throttlebodies should be made at the air bleed screws (the large brass screws on the front of each throttle bore) and possibly the one idle screw at the throttle stop near the cable.

I think the #10 relates to angular degrees of the throttle plate opening. It is horribly fuzzy in my mind but rattling around somewhere in the back I recall a difference in K throttle bodies of different vintages.
