2015 K1600GT GS-911 question

Howdy All,

Fired my baby up.. rode several hundred miles this cold spring, then service indicator popped up. Well I do my own oil changes every 3,500 miles, but don't
have a way to reset service indicator. So I ordered the GS-911 from Ted Porter... but it looks like it won't ship because.. well.. ya know.. the stuff going on right now.
I got thinking this morning... but have no done it yet (still below 30F).. if I disconnect the battery will this reset the service?

Didn't figure it would... but never hurts to ask before heading out to freeze hands.... I don't mind being frozen whilst riding.. but being a garage monkey is a different story..
I'll just keep riding until the GS-911 finally arrives..

There is a Beemer shop about 65 miles from me... but I expect they would request I leave my ride and do a full service to charge me hundreds.......
 
Rec'd my GS-911

Howdy All,

Got my GS-911 from Ted Porter on Tuesday this week. Downloaded & installed software, reset service reminder. Tomorrow I plan to explore other Special Functions...
