Just fabricated a proper old guy height stand for a bench grinder a friend gave me. Old 10-wheeler brake drum for a base, 3”X3” tube for the riser. All spare and leftover stuff that was hanging around. Even painted it.

Restoring a 100 year old Perfection kerosene heater that I have used for 20 years in the barn. It is a glass globe one with a brass tank. The tank failed because of small cracks in the brass tank. Doing the POR tank repair system. Hope it works,

Took 19 credit hours of computer numerical machining at the local Jr College this last fall semester. Scheduled to take the general machine shop class this spring and it’s 17 credit hours. I’m 67 years middle age. I like to show the kids that old guys can still get the job done. Ok, time for my afternoon nap, now where is My Pillow.

After cleaning the tank many times. I use an old Mr. Coffee machine to make hot water and Dawn dish soap. I did the etching process, rinse and dry. Put in the POR 15 and now waiting the 96 hour dry time.
