Speaker upgrade 2011 RT

After one of my factory speakers went bad I looked for an inexpensive way to upgrade the speakers in my 2011 RT. Polk Audio makes a marine coaxial speaker that fits perfectly into the existing opening, model DB522, found on Amazon for $70. Since it has its own tweater, I removed the factory one which now creates a speaker port aimed right at the rider for improved bass response (something sorely missing on the original setup). Sounds noticably better than original. I put 1/4" foam weather stripping around the speaker base to provide a seal for better audio. The Polk speakers can handle up to 300 watts, so I may consider adding a small 50-100 watt amp in the future to further help audio quality and bass. Ride safe out there.
