I've made two phone calls to the membership team, leaving messages regarding questions about membership renewal. Anyone listening?

You could also add an online contact to the mix. Go to https://www.bmwmoa.org/default.aspx and click on Membership and find Contact Us at the bottom.

Not having a phone call returned from "Membership" seems contrary to "Best Practices" to me.
