Just about ready to start training rides for MT!

It snowed three days ago here in Northern Vermont, but today hit 60F. Glenlivet is impatiently waiting for us to start riding in 2020. I finished replacing the defective camber control switch today, so the only thing left is to machine some studs for the skidplate. I'd been using small bolts, but that made oil changes a three hands and one foot job getting the skidplate and fasteners realigned. With studs I'll be able to manage with just two hands. Of course various heavy implements for the tractor need to be moved out of the way before the rig can leave the garage, but that first ride of the year is almost upon us! Then we start building up the miles getting ready for a mid-April departure for the trip to Great Falls, the scenic way.

Well, we're ready to ride but the weather isn't cooperating

Glenlivet doesn't understand that riding and ice don't go together.

So he practices laying the guilt trip on me as I watch the ice on the driveway retreat. Good news is today's rain with temps in the 50s might just do the trick!
