I'll wait till it's ready for prime time, until then I'll rely on the book.

Location is now working for me.
When I open the app it finds my location automatically and shows the three members in Creston Iowa.
Is there a way to make it show members in a 50 mile radius?

Well, it worked for a minute, now it can't find me

I find the app pretty nice and convenient. That said, I will continue to carry the printed copy as well...

Works like a champ for me. Detected me and listed ten members in my local area. Must be all my clean living.

I think it will be ok, they're still tweaking it.
Keep in mind some of the problem may be the idiot working my phone

A few things I noticed when I tried it again.

When it finds me and I filter the result by Codes, the results are not in order by distance from me.
A nice option to add would be if the app would show the number of miles from you.
This way when you look through the list you can pick the closet members.

It looks like it limited the results to Iowa. I'm only 30 miles from Missouri and it did not show any Missouri members but would show a Iowa member 200 miles away.

When I ask for dealers it only shows Iowa dealers, not the closest dealers.

I am currently testing Beta versions of this App and as some have noted a few bugs have already been squashed.

I did not contact the developer again as I figured you and chiba were following this thread.

Just downloaded it, looks pretty convenient at first glance. I too will keep the paper copy and my Airheads book. Between those and ADV there's a helluva lot of support out there.

Hmmm. I just downloaded the app and checked my own listing. On the app it's far different than what I have in my account profile. For instance, it shows me as offering Storage Space, Working Tools, and a Truck/Trailer, even though those are all "no" on my main account profile.

It shows "Coffee/Conversation" accurately, but doesn't list me saying that camping or bedroll space is available.

I'm in Canada, which shouldn't make a difference, but maybe the fixes to get Canadian locations included added some bugs?

Further to my last post, I took a hint from an earlier post and Saved the Changes in my profile, even though I didn't change anything. Now the Anonymous app has the proper information.

Might still be a bug if it's necessary for everyone to save their profile again, but at least it's now accurate for me.

: : O darn! Two of us are planning on riding through your area on our way from London to Winnipeg to Calgary before the Great Falls Rally!

Seriously, I think that it is rather neat that the correction can be made that quickly.

Now if that fix could be applied to the printed copy as easily.

I tried that and it didn't fix the codes in the app.
I'll check later today to see if the app updates my info.
