Here's my thumper

This is by far one of my favorite topics on the forum. Today is one year since I've owned this bike, and I just turned over 10,000 miles. I bought her with 5,000 miles. Thumpers are great! :rocker

2001 f650 gs

Photo taken in southern Arkansas last Sept. My Costa Rica riding buddy and I left Orange Beach, AL and rode to Seattle, WA and back. Total trip was 8200 mile in 27 days. One oil change in Seattle and that was it in the way of any maintenance (less chain adjustments). Gotta love the f650.

Top of Pikes Peak, just starting to see some small hail. Damn it was cold.

My Daughter just bought a 2005 F650CSA...........

With 3700 miles as of March 6, 2013! Wish I had seen it first;) At least I got to ride it first, HAH! It's her first bike and I think it will serve her well. It is essentially brand new. Fresh factory service, new tires, new battery, new rider, BIG SMILES. It'll look good next to the 78 R100RS I should think.

My wife's 2003 f650gs factory lowered in the Back of my 2003 Subaru Baja

I have not seen many f650gs with this color scheme, have you. Sure haven't seen many in the back of a matching Subaru Baja.

Thank you!

That photo was taken on Ophir Pass in Colorado.

Here's a new one from a recent ride on the west coast.

I cannot believe I never posted this before. Anyway, the first is the reason I sold my 1100R, and my 1200Lt.......
97 funduro.... I got this for a song, and rode the crap out of her for a little over a year.

Then, by some miracle, wifey told me I could have a new one. I sold the funduro, but kind of miss it. It was cool having a bike I truly did not care if it ended up on its side, But I guess the new one will be like that some day. The new girl has been on her side three times. Yep, I beat her just as hard as the old one.

I mounted happy trail Teton panniers. They are nice, but big enough that they cause wobble at high speed (above 80). I use them for long trips. I mounted the pelican cases for every day, and they are perfect. I basically got two sets of panniers for less than the price of touratech. I love this bike. I think the singles are underrated, and the absolute best GS if you are going into the dirt.
