Corbin Seat for 2019 850 GS

Corbin says they do not yet produce a seat for the 850 GS. My dealer says the 800 and 850 will take the same seats. I told Corbin that and they said ok, but if it doesn't work, it's still yours. So I held off. Just wondering if anyone had a Corbin on an 850 GS. If so, it's probably one that fits the 800.

Thanks in advance....

You might wish to consider a seat from Sargent. I used to be a Corbin fan, until Corbin didn't want to recover one of my seats. I sent the seat to Sargent. They did a nice job. Since then I've had several Corbin seats recovered by Sargent, and I have purchased a few new Sargent seats. For me, the Sargent seats are comfortable and fit well on the bikes. Sargent makes a seat for the 850GS.

I tried one Sargent seat on the K12RS and didn't care for it. I've owned 10 Corbins on 10 bikes, they work for me.

You may not care for Sargent seats, but don't let that keep you from going to their site and seeing the difference between their F800GS and F850GS seats. It appears they are quite different. So perhaps Corbin isn't telling you wrong.

From a quick search, they won't work. The plastic bases are completely different.

Plus... not a shot at BMW, but c'mon, they've been known to change seat styles on the same vintage/model of motorcycle :banghead
I'm still surprised that F650 stuff fits a 700 or 800 or vice versa.

Perfect example of this, BMW constantly changes the diameter and number of flukes on their oil filters. Never throw an oil filter cap wrench away (especially the expensive ones by BMW), as the design it fits will eventually appear on a future model.
