Good Day for Fargo

The Bison have been playing football in Division 1 for twelve seasons and won eight championships. Crazy! Needless to say most people in Fargo get a little crazy about Bison football. Literally thousands of fans make the trip to go to the game.

Those of us who are K-State fans are happy we grabbed one of the Bison's coaches--the one who was responsible for four (4) of those eight national championships. Fingers crossed that he can bring some of that magic to the Sunflower State.

A 16 and 0 season is something we all could wish for: 37 in a row is better than anybody has done since the 19th century, if the article wasn't garbled. I offer my heartiest congratulations to the NDSU Bison. That comes with some emotional angst since I an a UND (University of North Dakota) alum who lived through many years of fierce rivalry with NDSU. But football is their game; hockey is ours.

I didn't know the state of North Dakota straddled the US-Canadian border...……..
