    ABS Blinking

I'd hate to think this is an oft repeated dialog but I can't seem to find a blinking ABS thread through the search.

my 2000 r1100rt (112k miles) has the alternating red light ABS blinking and...I think this was brought on right after a hard front end pothole hit that actually shook the mirrors off. Could that warning light be from the front ABS sensor being knocked about? Or is that usually a unit failure? Is there a way to test this?
I did a Youtube "reset" by grounding the plug in connector and holding the ABS button down...but that didn't do anything.

If this is old territory, please send me links or the key to searching these threads effectively. Thanks!

Start here. Closely inspect the Front ABS sensor and all the way up the wiring right up to the connector where it joins the main harness
    Check the sensor gap
Try to determine if there is a stored fault code. ABS 2 procedure.
    Theory of operation
    Ufda happens..........

Need your R11xx Hall sensor rewired? PM me.

Try the reset again. Even if there is a problem, the reset should get you back to the lights blinking together at key-ON at least the first time.

This is from Anton's ABS Faults web page that GSAddict pointed you to above.

    Resetting ABS2 on early bike
    • Locate the diagnostic connector under the seat. Remove it from the blanking plug.
    • Insert one end of 20 cm wire into the middle socket of this connector.
    • Ground the other end firmly to a metal bolt in the area (and keep grounded).
    • Turn on ignition. You should see the lights flash alternately.
    • Hold ABS button down for about 8 seconds. The bottom ABS light will stay on, and the top one off.
    • Release the ABS button. If you have successfully reset the ABS, both ABS lights will come on. If you have failed to count to 8, or your ground is not good, the top ABS light will stay off.
    • Turn off ignition, remove wire.
