RDL how short is too short? sport seat?

Another option is a Kontour seat
I had one for years on my 07 and had no issues doing Iron Butt rides (1,000mi+ in less than 24hrs)
I really like their Polar mesh fabric which keeps you cooler and sheds water.
It adds very little to the height to the OEM seat
They retain the OEM heat elements you had on your original seat.
The mesh as a lifetime warranty against wear. Mine started to wear out after 60,000mi because of the zippers on my riding pants. They redid the seat at no cost. I only had to pay for the shipping.

Unfortunately the seat I have doesn't fit on my new R1250RT.
If the stock seat doesn't work for me I will probably get another one.

YMMV
