Happy Holidays!!!

May your wishes come true.

(And may you get a chance to take at least a short ride today!)

We just got home from helping Santa deliver toys and stocking gifts to all of the kids in Boquillas Del Carmen, Cuahoila, a small village on the Rio Grande (Rio Bravo) adjacent to Big Bend National Park, in Mexico. It was fun!

Christ mas....definately NOT a HOLIDAY

Community service is just this. Doing for others, down a little village street that has dogs, pigs, and chickens in your way. That is if you can drive there. In this case it's crossing the river on a raft or a beat up aluminum boat with the fathers of the village pulling you across. These are the RICH ones. Those who scraped together enough to purchase that boat. Anyway, the Glaves' are just one example of those providing a service this time of year. God bless all of you who exemplify the spirit that Jesus led the way back then and those who follow HIM now...….God bless...........Dennis

Outstanding! The best thing you can give is your time.

For the curious, enter the term Boquillas into Google Maps or Google Earth to locate the village. It is served by the "Boquillas International Ferry" which is a metal rowboat. Passports required to return to the United States. Each Christmas for the past 18 years Santa and the presents have arrived by canoe.

Beautiful response message Dennis. I'll add just one word for the Glaves actions and their mission: RESPECT.
