Tenth & FINAL Spring Fling Rally is open for registration!

For the last nine years, we've been hosting the Spring Fling Rally, which annually brings some of our best friends to Natural Bridge, Virginia, for a weekend of fun, friendship, food, and great riding. May 15-17, 2020 will mark a decade of the event and, after this rally, we're done. It's been a great run, but we're going to move on to other things.

2020 also marks the 50th year of Morton's BMW, one of the oldest dealerships in the country, so we're planning a series of events to commemorate the anniversary. The final Spring Fling Rally will be a key event in that series, and you won't want to miss it!

Joining us as our Saturday evening presenter is the incomparable Elspeth Beard, the first British woman to ride around the world! Ms. Beard has written a book, Lone Rider, chronicling her journey back in the 1980s. It's a fantastic read, telling the story of a young woman packing up her BMW and setting off to find herself amid the world's peoples. Her presentation has gotten terrific reviews, so you're in for a real treat! She will also have a supply of her book for sale and signing.

2020 Spring Fling Rally Postponed

Regrettably, we have to postpone the 2020 Spring Fling Rally to September 11-13, 2020, still at Natural Bridge, Virginia. Given the coronavirus and all the shutdowns and restrictions -- as well as general health precautions -- we don't have a choice. If you've registered already, we'll carry over your info to the new dates. If you have a hotel reservation, they will do the same. If you have to cancel, send us an email at "sales@mortonsbmw.com" requesting a refund; if you have a hotel reservation, contact the hotel directly to cancel it.

One upside of the new date is that we're bracketed by two great events. The Finger Lakes Rally (Labor Day weekend) is the weekend before ours and the BMW RA rally is the weekend after in North Carolina. You could take a couple of weeks and hit some wonderful rallies after a summer of who knows how much riding. We hope you can make it!

Nice work, and kudos for putting a solidly optimistic spin on the delay. It helps to keep focus on the positives.

Spring Fling 2020 cancelled

We have decided to cancel this year's Morton's BMW Spring Fling Rally and move on to spring 2021 for the final edition of this long-running event. The surge in Covid-19 cases and travel restrictions have made it untenable to gather in such a large group, eat and drink together, and enjoy the evening festivities.

We're working with the hotel to set a new date in the spring, and we hope you'll be able to join us. Those of you who had registered should have received an email already with more details. If you have a hotel reservation, the hotel is automatically cancelling all of those. Once we have a new date, we'll communicate that and we can start thinking about 2021 and -- we hope -- better times.
